Prof. Gavriel Chaushu holds a DMD, MSc.  (1989) from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.  Prof. Chaushu is a well known specialist in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Prof. Chaushu was head of the Oral & Maxillofacial surgery unit at the Tel Aviv Medical Center (2002-2006). He currently serves as Associate Professor at the Tel Aviv University School of Dental Medicine and as head of the Oral Health and Dental Implantology Center at Assaf Harofe Medical Center in Tzrifin. He is the president of the Israeli Association of Maxillofacial Surgery.

Prof. Chaushu is co-author of more than 90 publications in peer-reviewed dental journals. His main fields of research include implant dentistry, augmentation of atrophic alveloar ridge and sinus augmentation.
